Promising golfer Yang Yun-seo (Incheon Girls' High School Affiliated Open High School) finished fourth in the women's individual golf event at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Yang shot 2-under 68 in the final fourth round of the competition held today (October 3) at the East Course of the Kasugai Country Club (par 70) in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, carding five birdies and three bogeys.

She wrapped up the tournament in fourth place with a final score of 7-under 273.

Park Seo-jin (Seomun Girls' High School), who competed alongside her, marked 5-under 65 on this day with eight birdies, one bogey, and one double bogey, placing tied for 15th with a final score of 3-over 283.

Kim Gyu-bin (Haksan Girls' High School) shot even-par 70 with four birdies and four bogeys, finishing in 21st place with a final score of 9-over 289.

In the team event, where competition is decided by the combined scores of the top two players from each country per round, South Korea finished tied for fourth place alongside Singapore and Thailand with a 4-round total of 7-under 553, trailing behind China (22-under 538), India (14-under 546), and Chinese Taipei (10-under 550).

The individual gold medal went to Pranavi Sharath Urs (India, 15-under 265), the silver medal went to Yin Ruoning (China) following a playoff, and the bronze medal went to Shannon Tan (Singapore, both at 14-under 1266).

On this day, with Park Seo-jin and Kim Gyu-bin having finished their rounds, Yang Yun-seo was trailing third-place Chinese Taipei by two strokes in the team standings with holes 17 and 18 remaining.

If she could level the score across the two holes, South Korea could have vied for a team bronze medal.

However, Yang recorded a par on the 17th hole (par 4) and a bogey on the 18th hole (par 4), falling short of mounting a successful chase.
