Steve Yoo (Korean name Yoo Seung-jun), a Korean-American singer whose entry into South Korea has been blocked due to military service evasion, has won his appeal against the Consulate General of Korea in Los Angeles, securing a second consecutive legal victory in his suit to overturn the visa issuance refusal.

Following the first instance, the appellate court also ruled in favor of Yoo, stating that "the disadvantages suffered by the plaintiff due to the visa refusal significantly outweigh the public interest achieved by it."
