The South Korean women's national hockey team has wrapped up its campaign at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in fourth place.

Led by head coach Kim Yong-soo, the national team played to a 0-0 draw against Japan in the bronze medal match held at the Kakamigahara Green Stadium in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, on October 2, before losing 2-4 in a shootout.

The shootout is conducted in a manner where five players face off one-on-one against the goalkeeper to score, similar to a penalty kick in football.

Following the referee's whistle, players must dribble the ball from a distance of 23 meters away from the goal and attempt a shot within 8 seconds.
