The conservative civic group New Freedom Alliance is holding weekend rallies in front of the home of actor Yoo Hai-jin, who starred in the film 'The Assassin(s)' which has been embroiled in controversy over historical distortion.
The New Freedom Alliance announced today (the 2nd) that it plans to hold rallies starting the day after tomorrow (the 4th) through the end of this month in front of a detached house in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, known to be Yoo Hai-jin's residence.
The reported number of participants is 20, and each rally will begin at 4:30 PM.
The film sparked controversy as it implies a conclusion different from the government's official announcement that First Lady Yuk Young-soo was killed by a shot fired by Zainichi Korean Mun Se-gwang.
In response, the production team stated, "This film was not produced to newly establish a specific historical conclusion or to deny and distort existing facts."
