Kim Je-deok (Yecheon County Office) and Kang Chae-young (Hyundai Mobis) claimed the bronze medal in the recurve mixed team event at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
In the bronze medal match held at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Multipurpose Ground in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, on October 2, Kim Je-deok and Kang Chae-young defeated Japan's Junya Nakanishi and Nanami Asakuno with a set score of 5-1 (39-35, 37-37, 37-35).
Kang Chae-young secured her second medal of the day, following her silver medal in the women's recurve team event earlier in the day.
In the preceding semifinals, South Korea suffered a 6-0 (32-37, 36-37, 34-37) defeat against China, dashing their hopes for back-to-back titles in this event.
In the first set, Kim Je-deok shot two arrows that only scored 7 points each, and in the third set, Kang Chae-young's two arrows remained at 8 points each, preventing the team from winning a single set.
