Major League Baseball (MLB) club the Arizona Diamondbacks have entrusted manager Torey Lovullo with the team helm through the 2028 season.

The Arizona club announced on October 2 that they have signed Lovullo to a two-year contract extension.

Lovullo is the longest-serving manager in Arizona franchise history and holds the most wins.

Leading Arizona since 2017, Lovullo has recorded a career record of 750 wins and 768 losses.

Having won the National League (NL) Manager of the Year award in his inaugural season, Lovullo led Arizona to the World Series in 2023.

This year, the team finished with 86 wins and 76 losses, ranking fourth in the wildcard standings and narrowly missing out on the postseason.

After playing the final game of the regular season, Lovullo expressed, "Arizona feels like home," adding, "I love my team and the fans, and I hope that never changes."
