A video capturing television personality Hong Seok-cheon personally cleaning up trash spilled across a roadway with his bare hands is creating a heartwarming buzz online.
A video recently spread across social media and online community platforms showing a scene recorded on a road near Gongdeok Station in Seoul. The clip shows multiple trash bags that had fallen from a truck during the early morning hours scattered across the road, while a sanitation worker works to clean up the mess.
Upon witnessing the scene, Hong pulled his vehicle over. After asking his passenger to turn on the hazard lights, he immediately stepped out of the car, picking up the scattered debris piece by piece with his bare hands and placing it into bags. After finishing the cleanup, Hong greeted the sanitation worker before returning to his car.
The footage was reportedly not staged in any way, but an authentic moment captured by chance as he stepped in to assist a sanitation worker facing an unexpected and difficult situation.
Seeing his actions, online users reacted warmly, leaving comments such as, "This hyung is the real deal," "He only gets cooler as he gets older," "It is even more touching because it clearly was not done for show," and "That is what genuine character looks like." Another commenter noted, "I still remember how he always treated people so well whenever I visited his restaurant."
