President Lee Jae-myung has promoted Senior Secretary for Economic Growth Ha Jun-kyung to the new Chief of Staff for Policy at Cheong Wa Dae, and appointed First Vice Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Moon Shin-hak as the new Senior Secretary for Economic Growth.

The replacement for Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik, who offered to resign, was not announced today (October 1), with Senior Presidential Secretary for Public Communication Seong Gi-hong stating that the appointing authority—the president—is currently deliberating.
