Seoul house prices have risen for 86 consecutive weeks, setting a new record for the longest upward streak in history. Although the upward momentum narrowed for the fifth consecutive week as the Gangnam three districts and Yongsan-gu declined, outer areas maintained their strength. Appearing on SBS <Discovery of Knowledge>, Kim In-man, head of the Kim In-man Real Estate Economics Institute, diagnosed the current trend as "very dangerous." Having studied the real estate market for over 20 years, he noted that he has never seen a market like this before. What is even more concerning is that this year is supposedly the "flowering period" (the best years). Regarding <jeonse> (lump-sum housing rental deposit), which the president predicted would disappear, Director Kim raised his voice, saying it is being "treated unfairly." While it will eventually disappear, this is not the right way, according to Director Kim. Check out the video to hear more of his story.
