Everland's twin giant pandas, Rui Bao and Hui Bao—the younger siblings of Fu Bao—will be transferred to China in the third week of December.

Everland announced today (the 30th) that the schedule for transferring the twin pandas, who currently live in the Panda Second House, has been finalized.

Under international agreements, all giant pandas born overseas must return to China before reaching the age of 4, which is the breeding age.

Fu Bao, a panda born at Everland on July 20, 2020, was moved to the Wolong Shenshuping Panda Base in Sichuan Province, China, on April 3, 2024, about three months before turning 4, and has been living there since.

Everland has been in close discussions with the China Wildlife Conservation Association and the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda to ensure the twin pandas, born in July 2023, can move to China at the optimal time.

The exact date and location of the move will be determined by comprehensively considering various factors, including the health status of the twin pandas, temperatures, and local conditions.

Like their older sister Fu Bao, Rui Bao and Hui Bao will undergo health and quarantine management for about a month before the move. Additional information regarding public viewing schedules during the quarantine period will be announced once finalized.

Everland plans to make thorough preparations for the safe transport of Rui Bao and Hui Bao, and will host farewell programs for visitors to remember and cheer on the twin pandas.

An Everland official stated, "We will carefully take care of Rui Bao and Hui Bao until the day they move so that they can live healthily and happily in their new environment," adding, "We ask for your continued interest and warm support for the twin pandas' new beginning."
