A Chinese restaurant that has used Chinese President Xi Jinping's name as its business sign has ultimately decided to change its name.

In the early hours of September 24, four men wearing hats barged into a Chinese restaurant in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.

They sprayed black paint on the entrance and sign, smashed the floor with a hammer, and even damaged the payment terminal before fleeing.

The restaurant owner stated that they had previously received protests over using the same name as China's top leader for the business.

The owner claimed that in the past, a man had also visited and threatened them, saying, "Something big will happen if you don't change the name."

Although they have used the same business name for eight years, they ultimately decided to change it out of concern for further damage.

Police have applied for arrest warrants for the suspects, who were confirmed to have departed for China on the day of the incident.
