The SBS Newsroom has won awards in two categories at the Journalist of the Month Awards, presented by the Journalists Association of Korea.

The reporting team of Sohn Ki-june, Bae Sung-jae, Cho Min-ki, and Kim Su-yun from the SBS Social Affairs Department won in the investigative reporting category for their coverage of the allegations regarding sexual and personnel misconduct by the so-called "King of Geoje." Meanwhile, the reporting team of Lee Hyun-jung, Noh Yu-jin, Jang Min-sung, and Bae Yeo-un from the Investigative Reporting Department won in the broadcast feature reporting category for their comprehensive 10-year analysis of Buddhist community budgets.
