Jeong Ye-in, a former member of the group Lovelyz turned actor, is joining the second season of Netflix's "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call".

On September 29, Netflix officially confirmed, "It is true that Jeong Ye-in is appearing in Season 2 of 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'."

Jeong is set to play the role of Cheon Jang-mi, a nurse on the severe trauma team. Cheon Jang-mi is a character previously portrayed by actor Ha-young in Season 1. Initially, Ha-young was scheduled to appear consecutively in Seasons 2 and 3 of the series, but she ultimately stepped down following recent controversies surrounding her great-grandfather's pro-Japanese actions during the colonial era. Regarding this, Netflix previously stated, "We respect the actor's position."

To find an actor to fill the vacant role of Cheon Jang-mi, the production team held auditions, and Jeong Ye-in was decisively cast for the part. Attention is now focused on how Jeong Ye-in, joining Season 2 of "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call", will reinterpret the character of Cheon Jang-mi.

Meanwhile, Jeong Ye-in debuted in 2014 with the group Lovelyz, receiving great love from fans with songs like "Ah-Choo" and "Destiny". After transitioning to acting, Jeong has steadily built her filmography by appearing in various works such as the dramas "Criminal Minds", "The Blue Sea", "The Country I Want to Be an Insider", "My Friend's Graduation Ceremony", "The Riddle Chaebol Daughter", and "Codename: Wicked Stepmother".
