A man in his 40s has been arrested after threatening pedestrians with a weapon at Hangang Park, which was crowded with people on the final day of the Chuseok holiday.

The Seoul Southern District Court issued an arrest warrant today (the 29th) for A, a man in his 40s facing charges of carrying a weapon in a public place, stating that there is a "risk of flight."

Arriving at the court at 9:53 AM today, A responded to questions from reporters such as "Why did you threaten pedestrians?" by saying, "I didn't do anything wrong."

A is accused of threatening pedestrians with a weapon and attempting to break into a cafe near Yanghwa Hangang Park in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, around 3:40 PM on the 27th.

At the time, the cafe owner locked the doors and windows and called the police, preventing any casualties. It was reported that around 15 people were inside the cafe.
