On the afternoon of September 29, a plenary meeting of the National Assembly's National Defense Committee was convened.

Minister of National Defense Kang Shin-chul and other officials attended to answer urgent inquiries regarding the landmine explosion that occurred on September 21.

Yang Jin-hyeok, Director of Operations at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said, "As a result of today's on-site investigation, one North Korean military resin anti-personnel mine was identified at the site of the landmine explosion."
