Starting today, residents can choose their own personal doctor at local neighborhood clinics to receive health management services.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare is launching a primary healthcare innovation pilot project in local communities starting today.

The initiative aims to move away from visiting hospitals only when sick, shifting toward managing everyday health to prevent diseases and respond to them early.

Residents aged 50 and older can register at participating neighborhood clinics to receive tailored disease and medication management according to their health status.

Services include checks on health conditions, exercise routines, dietary habits, and medication management.

In addition, patients will be connected to specialized medical institutions or local care services when necessary.

A total of 120 neighborhood clinics nationwide are participating, and there are no separate fees.

Patients only need to pay their standard co-pay on top of existing medical treatment costs.
