Captain Son Heung-min has scored his 58th international goal, matching the all-time record held by legendary former national team manager Cha Bum-kun.

Playing in a friendly match against Uruguay at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 28th, Son scored a goal in the 35th minute of the second half while his team was trailing 0-4.

With this goal, Son has now netted 58 goals in 149 appearances for the South Korean national team, tying the record for the most international goals by a South Korean previously set by former manager Cha.
