Our track relay teams have suffered from bad luck with baton passes for two days in a row. Fortunately, yesterday (September 27), our appeal was dramatically accepted, allowing us to compete for a medal in the final just moments from now.

The men's 400m relay national team, which garnered high expectations by continuously breaking South Korean records last year, experienced a rollercoaster-like time during the preliminaries last night.

The first runner, Kim Xion, failed to smoothly connect the baton to Joeljin, causing a sharp drop in speed. Despite a late chase, they crossed the finish line fourth in their heat.

Thinking they had advanced to the final by placing seventh overall with a time of 39.33 seconds,

they subsequently received shocking news.

Joeljin was disqualified on the grounds that he received the baton beyond the regulated zone.

The coaching staff and the Korea Association of Athletics Federations immediately filed an appeal based on footage they filmed themselves, and the organizers unusually accepted our claim, overturning the disqualification.

Dramatically brought back to life, the men's 400m relay national team will chase their second consecutive medal in the final shortly.

Bad luck struck again in the mixed 400m relay preliminaries today.

This time, during Kim Xion's section, an Indian runner running alongside fell and slid into our lane, preventing us from passing the baton properly.

As the Korea Association of Athletics Federations has filed yet another appeal, a nerve-wracking wait continues.
