Starting next April, bank branches will open their doors at 9:30 AM.

The Korea Financial Industry Union and the Korea Financial Employers' Association reached a tentative industry-wide collective agreement to push back opening hours by 30 minutes while maintaining the closing time at 4:00 PM, aimed at reducing employee working hours amid a continuing decline in branch-visiting customers.

However, the union's demand to scrap the relocation of state-run banks to provincial regions was not included in this agreement.
