FNC Entertainment has announced a firm response after confirming cases of executives and staff in charge of its boy band Hi-Fi Unicorn being threatened, along with the distribution of videos slandering artists and staff.

In an official statement on September 28, FNC Entertainment stated, "Recently, regarding Hi-Fi Unicorn, we have confirmed cases of threatening messages being sent to staff members in charge, as well as the spreading of verbal abuse and malicious slander videos directed at artists and staff under the pretext that their demands were not being met."

FNC explained that taking this issue as an opportunity, "We would like to clearly communicate our company-wide response standards in order to protect the rights and interests of all our artists and employees, and to prevent similar damages."
The company stated that it views private threats, defamation of character, and the dissemination of malicious false information against others as matters falling under violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., and obstruction of business. FNC further stated that if such acts are confirmed, offenders will be permanently expelled from the official fan club and permanently banned from participating in all schedules hosted by the company, including concerts and fan meetings. It also emphasized that it is continuously monitoring threats, personal defamation, and the spread of malicious falsehoods through legal representatives, warning that "we will take strict civil and criminal legal action without any leniency."

Meanwhile, FNC added that it will continue to review and reflect reasonable suggestions from fans delivered through official channels.

Hi-Fi Unicorn is an idol band managed by FNC Entertainment and FNC Japan, formed through the SBS M boy band audition program The Idol Band: Boy's Battle and debuted on June 26, 2023.
