In "Doctor X: Mafia in White," Kim Ji-won delivered an exhilarating sense of catharsis by unleashing an unfiltered verbal takedown on the physicians of Guseo University Hospital.

On September 28, the team behind SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama "Doctor X: Mafia in White" (written by Pyeon Sung-geun, directed by Lee Jung-rim)—scheduled to premiere on Friday, October 9—unveiled an exclusive pre-release clip from Episode 1 showcasing the unmatched charisma of Kye Soo-jung (played by Kim Ji-won).

"Doctor X: Mafia in White" is a satisfying medical noir depicting the exploits of Kye Soo-jung, the "crazy Kye of the operating room," who uses her genius surgical skills to shatter massive systemic corruption. Positioned as SBS's most anticipated drama of the second half of the year following hits like "Agent Kim Reactivated," "Taxi Driver," "The Fiery Priest," and "The Judge from Hell," the series has already drawn massive attention with its powerhouse ensemble featuring Kim Ji-won, Lee Jung-eun, Son Hyun-joo, and Kim Woo-seok.

Kye Soo-jung is a freelance surgeon dispatched from a medical staffing agency to fill a shortage in Guseo University Hospital's surgery department. Relying solely on her exceptional skills, she is set to shake up the hospital's power dynamics by excising the corrupt medical establishment rampant within the institution.

In the released preview clip, Kye Soo-jung captivated viewers by dropping brutal truth bombs on the hospital's doctors without batting an eye. Confronting surgery professor Bae Heung-gon (played by Lee Sung-wook) and resident Ma Sung-gyu (played by Kwon Seung-woo), she delivers a sharp rebuke: "I hate people like you. People who only studied just to make good money and get ahead. People who are foolishly smart without a single thought for ethics or convictions."

She continues to call out their wrongdoings one by one, adding, "Complacent people who know full well how much a patient will suffer, yet only think about how to sweep it under the rug when lives are on the line." Delivering a chilling finish, she remarks, "People who are merely doctors in title alone. Hey, you guys are seriously pathetic." Adding a delightful comic twist amid the doctors' bursting fury, she coolly packs her bag and heads out the door without looking back the exact moment the clock strikes 6:00 p.m.

Kim Ji-won instantly dominated the screen, delivering hard-hitting lines with razor-sharp diction and an icy gaze, raising expectations for the rise of a new "medical dark hero."
