Chun In-gee finished in a tie for second place at the LPGA Tour's Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, which offered a total purse of $3 million.

On the final round of the tournament held at Pinnacle Country Club (par 71) in Rogers, Arkansas, today (September 28, Korea time), Chun shot a 6-under-par 65 with seven birdies and one bogey.

With a final total of 16-under-par 197, Chun tied for second alongside Akie Iwai (Japan) and Chanettee Wannasaen (Thailand), achieving her best result of this season following her fourth-place finish at the major U.S. Women's Open.

Chun, who has four career victories on the LPGA Tour, has not added a win since the 2022 KPMG Women's PGA Championship.

Japan's Yuna Nishimura shot a 5-under-par 66 on the final day for a final total of 21-under-par 192, securing her first-ever victory since debuting on the LPGA stage in 2023 along with the winner's prize of $450,000 (approx. 610 million won).

Nishimura, who entered the final round with a five-stroke lead after shooting 63 for two consecutive days, faltered on the front nine with an even-par 36 but sealed the victory by cutting five strokes on the back nine, including an eagle.

Starting the third round in a tie for fifth, Chun got off to a good start with consecutive birdies on the 1st and 2nd holes, and although she dropped a shot with a bogey on the 3rd hole (par 3), she bounced back with birdies on the 7th hole (par 5) and 9th hole (par 4) to shave three strokes off on the front nine.

Chun shaved off three more strokes on the back nine to finish the tournament in a tie for second, earning $212,764 in prize money.

Lim Jin-hee tied for 8th at 14-under-par 199, while Yang Hee-young and Kim A-rim tied for 15th at 12-under-par 201. Hwang Yu-min tied for 22nd at 11-under-par 202, and Lee So-mi placed in a tie for 34th at 8-under-par 205.
