On the first day of the recent holiday, intruders broke into a Chinese restaurant in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, committing acts of terror such as spray-painting the interior. A group of four Chinese nationals has been identified as suspects, and they appear to have committed the crime out of dissatisfaction with the restaurant's name. The suspects have already fled to China.

Men with their faces covered by hats and masks enter the restaurant, spray-painting various spots around the counter and making sharp gashes in the chairs with a weapon.

They even use paint to completely cover the restaurant name "Xi Jinping" displayed outside the store.

The attack on the Chinese restaurant located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, took place at around 2:30 AM on September 24.

Police investigations revealed that the act was committed by four Chinese men in their 20s to 40s.

By the time the report from the victimized business owner was received by the police at around 8:30 AM, the suspects had already fled to various parts of China via Incheon International Airport.

The victimized owner believes that because the restaurant's name is the same as that of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Chinese nationals harbored resentment and committed the crime.

[Victimized Owner: All the refrigerator doors were left open, and they had sprayed something like pesticide inside. It's because of the store name, so I suppose I'll have to change the name.]

A police official stated, "It appears that the group entered the country a month before the crime and carried out the attack during the Chuseok holiday when the restaurant was closed."

The police plan to request an entry notification from relevant authorities and pursue the suspects through international judicial cooperation.

Gray smoke billows ceaselessly from a factory.

At around 9:00 AM today (September 27), a fire broke out at a power generation facility in Seokmun-myeon, Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province.

[Witness: Suddenly, sparks burst out just like in an animation, panels were flying around, and we were so startled that we all evacuated.]

While there were no casualties, most of two factory buildings were burned down, and it took about five and a half hours just to bring the major flames under control.
