At around 7:20 p.m. today (September 27), an unconfirmed fire broke out at a house in Maro-myeon, Boeun-gun, North Chungcheong Province.

As a result of the fire, a man in his 40s residing at the home suffered second-degree burns to his face, both arms, and back, and was transported to a specialized burn hospital in Daejeon.

The flames were mostly brought under control at around 7:55 p.m. the same day.

Police and fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the scale of property damage once the fire is fully extinguished.
