The South Korean women's saber fencing national team has captured the Asian Games team gold medal for the first time in 8 years.

Composed of Jeon Ha-young (Seoul City Hall), Kim Jung-mi, Seo Ji-yeon (both from Ansan City Hall), and Choi Se-bin (Daejeon City Hall), the women's saber team defeated Japan 45-31 in the final of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games held at the Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, today (the 27th) to claim the top spot.

South Korea previously won the women's saber team event at the 2014 Incheon Games and the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Games.

Although they had to settle for a bronze medal at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games (held in 2023), they successfully reclaimed the championship at the current tournament after 8 years.
