World-renowned jazz saxophonist Joshua Redman is holding a concert in Korea next month.

At his Seoul concert on the 23rd of next month, Redman is scheduled to perform tracks from his album "Words Fall Short," released this year by the jazz label Blue Note.

Redman will take the stage alongside Paul Cornish (piano), Nazir Ebo (drums), and Philip Norris (bass), who participated in the album. This marks Redman's first concert in Korea with a quartet lineup in 12 years.

Redman rose to prominence in the global jazz scene in 1991 when he won the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition (now the Herbie Hancock International Jazz Competition) after graduating from Harvard University and before entering Yale Law School.

Since then, he has established himself as a leading saxophonist in contemporary jazz, built upon sophisticated musical composition, rich lyricism, and outstanding improvisation.

In the early 1990s, Redman performed alongside prominent young musicians of his generation such as Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride, and Brian Blade, and later collaborated with renowned artists including Pat Metheny, Charlie Haden, McCoy Tyner, and Roy Hargrove.

Concert promoter Plus Hitch introduced that Redman's upcoming performance features young musicians currently drawing attention in the jazz scene, combining Redman's musical world built over 30 years with their fresh sensibilities to present audiences with the present and future of jazz.
