A man in his 30s was rushed to the hospital by helicopter after being stung by a bee while hiking.

At around 10:00 a.m. today (September 27), a man in his 30s identified as A, who was hiking with a coworker on Mireuksan Mountain in Geumma-myeon, Iksan, North Jeolla Province, collapsed after being stung by a bee.

Fire authorities, responding to a report from the coworker, deployed a helicopter to transport A to a hospital.

A is currently receiving treatment and is reportedly not in life-threatening condition.

Fire officials urged people to exercise extreme caution during outdoor activities, as bee stings can trigger severe allergic reactions.
