South Korea's men's saber fencing national team has achieved a monumental milestone by winning its fourth consecutive gold medal at the Asian Games.

Composed of Oh Sang-uk, Park Sang-won (both from Daejeon Metropolitan City Hall), Do Kyung-dong (Daegu Metropolitan City Hall), and Hwang Hee-geun (Korea Armed Forces Athletic Corps), the men's saber team defeated Japan 45-44 in the final of the men's saber team event at the Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, on the 26th local time, securing the championship.

This marks the 15th gold medal for the South Korean delegation at this tournament.

South Korea has now claimed four straight gold medals in the men's saber team event at the Asian Games, following the 2014 Incheon, 2018 Jakarta-Palembang, and 2022 Hangzhou (held in 2023) editions.

Ace Oh Sang-uk, who successfully defended his title in the individual event on the 23rd, teamed up with his colleagues to secure the victory in the team event, achieving a double crown for the second consecutive Asian Games.
