A woman in her 70s has been stabbed with a weapon by her own driver at a vacation home in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.

At around 11:00 a.m. today (26th), a report was filed stating that a woman in her 70s, identified as A, was found collapsed after being stabbed at a vacation home in Sudong-myeon, Namyangju.

Victim A was transported to a hospital where she is receiving treatment, while the police arrested a man in his 50s, identified as B and working as her driver, at the scene on attempted murder charges.

According to reports, A's husband, who was on the second floor at the time, heard a scream, came downstairs, and found A collapsed before calling the police.

The couple was staying at the vacation home to observe the Chuseok holiday, and B was identified as their driver.

Police are currently investigating the specific circumstances of the incident, including the motive behind the crime, by questioning B.
