An elevator suddenly stopped on the fourth floor of a hypermarket in Jung-gu, Daejeon, at around 10:45 AM today (September 26).

Five shoppers were trapped inside the elevator for several minutes before being rescued by store staff.

Emergency rescue workers dispatched following a report also checked the safety conditions at the scene, and it was confirmed that fortunately, no one was injured.

It was reported that the hypermarket had been crowded with numerous visitors taking advantage of the Chuseok holiday.
