The South Korean men's marathon team failed to win a medal at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Park Min-ho (Korea Armed Forces Athletic Corps) completed the 42.195-kilometer full course in 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 35 seconds during the men's marathon held on the road course in Nagoya, Japan, today (the 26th), finishing 8th out of 19 competing athletes.

He remained in the leading group up to the 15-kilometer mark, but began to slip back near the 20-kilometer point.

Kim Hong-rok (Korea Electric Power Corporation), who competed alongside him, finished 10th with a time of 2 hours, 18 minutes, and 27 seconds.

Ichitaka Yamashita of Japan won the gold medal with a time of 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 49 seconds, while Sawan Barwal of India took the silver with 2 hours, 11 minutes, and 37 seconds, and Feng Peiyu of China claimed the bronze with 2 hours, 12 minutes, and 13 seconds.

North Korea's Han Il-ryong, who won the silver medal at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, finished 4th with 2 hours, 12 minutes, and 21 seconds.

The last time the South Korean men's marathon won a medal at the Asian Games was when Ji Young-jun took gold at the 2010 Guangzhou Games.
