Chinese President Xi Jinping departed for home on the 25th (local time) after completing a three-day state visit to the United States.

President Xi boarded his special aircraft at Joint Base Andrews near Washington, D.C., on the afternoon of the same day to head back to China.

Having arrived in the U.S. on the 23rd, President Xi received exceptional hospitality as U.S. President Donald Trump personally greeted him at the airport, followed by top-tier protocol events including the official White House welcoming ceremony and a state banquet.

The two leaders held a summit at the White House the previous day, discussing major bilateral issues such as trade, artificial intelligence (AI), Taiwan, and Iran.

Wrapping up his state visit on its final day, President Xi held a tea meeting with President Trump and the U.S. first lady at the White House, followed by a visit to the National Archives, bringing his itinerary to a close.
