A fire broke out at a commercial building in Wando-gun, South Jeolla Province, on Chuseok, prompting authorities to launch firefighting operations.

At around 7:20 p.m. today (September 25), a report was received that a fire had broken out at a gas appliance store located in Wando-eup, Wando-gun, South Jeolla Province.

The fire department mobilized around 50 personnel and approximately 10 pieces of equipment, bringing the major flames under control in about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Authorities reported that no injuries have been confirmed so far.

The fire department plans to investigate the exact cause and circumstances once the fire is completely extinguished.
