Rain is falling across most parts of the country today (the 25th), which is Chuseok.

As you can see, thick clouds are blanketing the skies nationwide, obscuring the full moon behind them.

This rain will continue through tomorrow. A low-pressure system rotating counterclockwise will pass over the waters south of the country tomorrow, bringing heavy rain to Jeju Island and the Jeonnam region.

In addition, high waves are expected in the West Sea and waters off Jeju, so those planning to use ferry services should check flight and sail schedules in advance.

Especially from early dawn to morning tomorrow, heavy rain of 20 to 30 mm per hour accompanied by gusts and lightning is expected to pour down mainly along the southern coast of Jeonnam.

Looking at the expected rainfall, up to 80 mm is forecast for Jeju and the southern coast of Jeonnam, and up to 60 mm for other parts of Jeonnam. The central regions will see relatively lighter amounts between 5 and 20 mm.

Rain in the central regions will mostly stop by early tomorrow morning, but will continue until the afternoon in the southern regions and until the evening in Jeju.

On the final day of the holiday, rain is only in the forecast for Jeju, while skies across the rest of the country will be mostly clear.

Looking at tomorrow morning temperatures, Seoul will not drop significantly, starting at 18°C (64°F) and similar levels.

Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 27°C (81°F) in Seoul and 25°C (77°F) in Gwangju.

Next Wednesday, the last day of September, rain is forecast for the capital area and the western part of Gangwon Province. After the rain stops, cold air moving down from the north will make the weather notably chilly.
