We begin our 8 o'clock news on Chuseok day with golden news from the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Our delegation has produced its first double gold medalists. Cho Gwang-hee and Kim Hyo-bin, who won gold in the men's kayak four event yesterday (September 24), conquered the pairs event today to claim the honor of double crown winners.

Cho Gwang-hee and Kim Hyo-bin, who teamed up yesterday to win the gold medal in the men's kayak four 500m for the first time in South Korean canoe history, displayed flawless teamwork once again in the pairs 500m final today.

Starting powerfully from lane three, they passed the first 250m mark in second place as they rounded the turning point.

With an even fiercer surge in the second half, they rose to the front, fended off Japan's pursuit by a margin of 0.317 seconds to cross the finish line first, and raised their arms in triumph.

The two shared a warm embrace to savor their joy, and with their eyes watering, they stood atop the highest step of the podium in this event for the first time in 36 years.

Cho Gwang-hee and Kim Hyo-bin sliced through the golden waters for two consecutive days to become our delegation's first double gold medalists of this competition.

In gymnastics, Hwang Seo-hyun, born in 2009 and the youngest member of the national gymnastics team registered as the delegation's shortest athlete at 134 cm tall, soared the highest.

Advancing to the final after passing the women's balance beam preliminaries in fifth place, she delivered a flawless routine to defeat all favorites from China and Japan for a surprise gold medal.

Overjoyed, Hwang tried to leap onto the floor before being stopped by her coaches, and instead smiled brightly while holding the Taegeukgi outside the floor area. She savored the joy of conquering the event for South Korea for the first time in 40 years from the highest step of the podium.

The men's 3x3 basketball team—comprising Lee Ju-young, Kim Seung-woo, Lee Dong-geun, and Gu Min-gyu—also crushed Qatar in the final to reach the summit.
