Torrential streams of water pour relentlessly over a parked car.

The downpour goes far beyond a car wash, raising concerns that the vehicle might even be damaged.

This is due to Hurricane Polo, which is moving northward along Mexico's Pacific coast.

Although Polo has weakened somewhat after once intensifying to a Category 5, the highest level, it continues to affect the Mexican coast with strong winds and heavy rain.

Roads quickly turned into flooded areas, and as the heavy rainfall continues, the risk of landslides is also increasing.

Local authorities have urged residents in high-risk areas to exercise extreme caution, while suspending school classes in some regions and launching emergency response measures.
