A fire broke out at a multi-family housing unit in Seoul on the first day of the holiday, leaving one person dead.

At around 3:20 a.m. today (September 24), a fire broke out in a rooftop room of a multi-family house in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, and was extinguished in about 20 minutes.

As a result of the fire, a resident in his 60s was found dead.

Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
