A fire broke out at a cosmetics manufacturing plant in Oryu-dong, Geomdan-gu, Incheon, at around 9:45 PM today (September 23), prompting fire authorities to launch firefighting operations.

No casualties have been confirmed so far, but flames and thick black smoke are reportedly surging from the exterior of the building.

Fire authorities issued a "Level 1 Response," an alert order mobilizing all personnel from the jurisdiction's fire station, at around 10:14 PM, 29 minutes after the fire broke out, and are currently working to extinguish the blaze.

Geomdan-gu issued an emergency text message at around 10:30 PM to notify residents of the fire, advising, "Nearby residents should move away from the accident site, and vehicles should detour."

A fire official stated, "We have deployed 52 pieces of equipment, including pumper trucks, and 96 firefighters to carry out firefighting operations."
