Disorganized operations at the games continued today (September 23). Baseball national teams, which had to practice in hotel parking lots because the organizing committee failed to provide training facilities, are facing another hardship at their accommodations.

Although the hotel where the baseball teams are staying offers laundry services, it takes several days to get the laundry back. As a result, players, who need to wash their uniforms almost every day, are having to find coin laundromats to do their own laundry.

Taiwanese media reported the absurd story that after suffering a heavy defeat in their opening match against South Korea, players barely slept as they washed their uniforms until early in the morning before heading into the next day's morning game.

Fortunately, it was confirmed that our national team quickly hired an external laundry service provider, sparing the players from having to do "self-laundry."

In swimming, some medalists are not receiving their medals.

It is an international custom that even players who only swim in the preliminaries and not the finals receive a medal together if their team wins a podium finish. However, at this competition, players who did not compete in the finals are being given certificates instead of medals.

In addition, Olympics require gold medals to contain at least 6 grams of gold, and the gold medals at the previous Hangzhou Asian Games also contained 6 grams of gold like the Olympics. However, it was confirmed that the gold medals at this competition contain only 1 gram of gold.

The organizing committee has not given a reason, but it is presumed to have made this absurd choice to cut costs.
