Incheon Port Passenger Terminal was filled with the excitement of homecoming travelers heading to their hometowns early. However, there is some disappointing news that it might be difficult to enjoy the round full moon on Chuseok day.

During the four-day holiday spent with family, there are many things they want to do and look forward to.

Tomorrow (the 24th), the first day of the holiday, skies will be mostly cloudy nationwide.

Dense fog is expected mainly around the West Sea, so travelers using ships are advised to check the operation status in advance.

Rain is forecast for Friday, Chuseok day.

Rain is forecasted for the central regions, Jeonbuk, and Gyeongbuk starting late in the afternoon.

The expected precipitation is not large—5 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gyeongbuk, and Chungcheong, and 5 to 10 mm on the Gangwon east coast—so there will be no major inconvenience for traveling.

The rain clouds will move south, and rain is forecast to continue until night in the southern regions and Jeju Island on Saturday, the third day of the holiday.

On Sunday, when the last-minute return trip is expected, skies will be mostly cloudy nationwide.

With cloudy skies or rain expected on this Chuseok day, it is forecasted to be difficult to see the full moon.

Even if the moon is visible, its left side will appear slightly incomplete, and a fully rounded full moon is expected to be visible only at dawn on Sunday, two days after Chuseok.
