South Korean national cycling team members Kim Yu-ro (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) and Yoon Jae-bin (Million Kilometer Cycle Academy) finished 8th and 9th, respectively, in the men's individual road race at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Kim and Yoon crossed the finish line side by side with identical records of 4 hours, 20 minutes, and 17 seconds in the final held today (the 23rd) at the Shinshiro Circuit course in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

A photo finish and ranking review placed Kim in 8th and Yoon in 9th to wrap up the competition.

They finished 7 minutes and 6 seconds behind the gold medalist.

Kazakhstan swept the gold and silver medals in this event.

Alexey Lutsenko crossed the finish line first with a time of 4 hours, 13 minutes, and 11 seconds to claim the title, while Yevgeniy Fedorov took second place with 4 hours, 15 minutes, and 9 seconds.

The bronze medal went to Yuhi Todome of Japan, who recorded 4 hours, 15 minutes, and 51 seconds.

The cycling individual road race is an event where all participating cyclists start simultaneously, race along a long-distance course set up on public roads, and are ranked in the order they cross the finish line.

Today's race was held over a total course of 157.6 kilometers, consisting of a 9.0-kilometer starting section, six laps around a 22.6-kilometer circuit course, and a final 13.0-kilometer stretch to the finish line.
