Actor Lee Byung-hun is set to become the voice of a world-renowned museum.

Lee will participate in the narration for the exhibition titled "Korea: 2,000 Years of Creativity," which opens at the British Museum in London, United Kingdom, on October 1.

Co-organized by the National Museum of Korea, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and the British Museum, the exhibition will broadly illuminate 2,000 years of Korean culture and art through some 180 works, including national treasures and treasures of Korea.

In this exhibition, Lee is expected to introduce Korean culture and artworks with his signature deep, low-pitched voice and comfortable yet stable delivery, guiding visitors into the stories within the exhibition.

Notably, as this exhibition marks the first time in about 40 years that Korean art and culture are being showcased on a broad scale in the UK—also featuring collections donated to the National Museum of Korea and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art by the bereaved family of the late Chairman Lee Kun-hee—Lee's participation is expected to add even more meaningful significance.

Expectations are also high because, rather than simply delivering information about the artworks, he has infused his voice with his characteristic restrained emotion and focus to allow visitors to experience Korea's long-accumulated culture and art up close. Drawing on his delicate expressive power and voice-acting experience built as an actor, he is projected to further enhance the immersion of the Korean exhibition presented at a world-class museum.

Lee announced his participation, stating, "I have come to take part in the narration for the British Museum's Korean exhibition held in London." He added, "Please show a lot of interest, and I will see you in London," conveying his anticipation for the exhibition.

Previously, Lee drew attention for his voice acting role as Gwima in the Netflix animated film "K-Pop: Demon Hunters," and also participated in the audio guide for a special exhibition jointly presented by the National Museum of Korea and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. At the time, he personally explained 30 major works and elevated the quality by directly coordinating every sentence and pronunciation during the recording process.

Meanwhile, the exhibition "Korea: 2,000 Years of Creativity," featuring Lee's narration, will run from October 1 to January 31, 2027, at the British Museum in London, UK.
