The girl group UNIS, formed through the SBS audition program "Universe Ticket," is releasing a final single to conclude their two years and six months of activities.

UNIS will release their digital single "Milky Way" across various online music streaming platforms at 6 p.m. on September 23.

"Milky Way" is a song carrying the eight members' final farewell to their fans. Drawing on the imagery of the Milky Way, which remains connected as one even from afar, the track portrays their parting not as a complete end, but as a temporary pause. The lyrics, expressing faith that they will bloom again even if they take a detour, capture their hopes for a future reunion.

Notably, the members participated directly in writing the lyrics. Jin Hyeonju, NANA, ELISIA, and Oh Yoona poured their sincere feelings toward their fans into the words, expressing their gratitude in their own ways.

Previously, on September 22, agency F&F Entertainment announced via its official social media channels that the exclusive contract with UNIS would end as of September 26. The agency explained that they decided to wrap up official group activities in accordance with the planned contract period. "We extend our deepest gratitude to the members who created countless stages and precious moments with passion and sincerity," the agency stated, adding, "We will wholeheartedly support the members as they stand at a new starting line."

Meanwhile, UNIS was formed through the audition program "Universe Ticket," co-produced by SBS and F&F Entertainment. After debuting in March 2024 with their first mini-album "WE UNIS," they continued their musical promotions by releasing titles such as "CURIOUS" and "SWICY."
