[Anchor] Did a victim of stalking actually go and find the stalker herself?

[Reporter] Yes, a woman in her 30s, identified as A, is accused of breaking into the home of a man in his 50s, identified as B, in Manan-gu, Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, carrying a weapon on the night of Monday last week.

Mr. B was not home at the time, and Ms. A reported herself to the police from the scene.

Mr. B had been under police investigation for stalking, such as following Ms. A to her residence, and was reportedly scheduled to attend a pre-trial detention hearing ( warrant review ) at the court that same day, but failed to appear.

During police questioning, Ms. A stated, "I did this because of extreme anxiety."

Deeming that Ms. A was experiencing severe stress and faced a risk of self-harm, the police booked her on tentative charges of preparing for murder and placed her in emergency hospitalization.
