The film "The King's Warden," which was released last February and drew 16 million moviegoers, is now coming to the small screen.

It will be broadcast on SBS this coming Saturday evening, marking its very first television premiere since its theatrical release.

"The King's Warden" received immense love for portraying the final days of King Danjong, focusing on the human connection between him and the people of Cheongnyeongpo, his place of exile, along with Yi Hong-wi.

Drawing 16 million viewers, it ranked as the second highest-grossing South Korean film of all time. Yoo Hai-jin, who played Eom Heung-do, won the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the Baeksang Arts Awards for this film, while Park Ji-hoon, who played Yi Hong-wi, won the Best New Actor award.
