This is the Teesta River in India.

Fishermen are cutting through the current on a small boat.

A short time later, they spot something and urgently begin pulling it up.

Thinking it might be a huge catch, they pull with all their might, but the moment it reveals itself, it is unexpectedly a baby elephant.

It turns out they were rescuing a baby elephant that had been swept away by the current after getting separated from its mother while trying to cross the river.

The fishermen safely pulled the baby elephant out after it had drifted about 4 kilometers down the fierce current, and forestry authorities later reunited the calf with its mother.
