President Lee Jae-myung has appointed Lee So-young as Minister of SMEs and Startups and Lee Jeong-hyeon as Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office.

President Lee, who is currently visiting the United States and Mexico on the occasion of attending the United Nations General Assembly, approved the appointments of Minister Lee and Deputy Prosecutor General Lee on the night of September 22, Korean time, following the National Assembly's adoption of their confirmation hearing reports, Cheong Wa Dae Chief Spokesperson Kang Yu-jung announced.

President Lee previously also approved the appointments of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economy Lee Hyoung-il, Minister of National Defense Kang Shin-chul, and Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Hong Ji-seon.
