South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi met in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and adopted a trilateral joint statement.

On the 21st local time, the foreign ministers of the three countries reaffirmed their commitment to the complete denuclearization of North Korea and urged Pyongyang to return to dialogue.

They also emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, stating their opposition to any unilateral attempts to change the status quo.
