President Lee Jae-myung departed on the afternoon of Monday, September 21, on a seven-day, five-night trip to attend the UN General Assembly in New York and hold a South Korea-Mexico bilateral summit.

Early Wednesday morning Korea time, President Lee will deliver a keynote address at the UN General Assembly focusing on UN reform and peace on the Korean Peninsula.

He will also hold bilateral summits with leaders from several countries, with close attention focused on whether he will meet with U.S. President Trump regarding issues such as stalled negotiations over investment in the United States.
