Ahead of its premiere, SBS audition project "The Ballad of Us 2" has pre-released an exceptional performance that moved the judging panel to tears.

"The Ballad of Us 2", set to premiere on Monday, October 5 at 10 p.m., released its first teaser video featuring a 16-year-old contestant performing Yang Hee-eun's "Love, on its Solitude" through its official channels.

"The Ballad of Us 2" is a program where contestants with a younger average age of 17.9 reimagine classic ballad masterpieces released from 1985 to 2025 with their own sensibility.

In the pre-released video, the 16-year-old contestant took the stage holding an acoustic guitar and immediately commanded attention with a deep, soulful voice and haunting melancholy that belied their young age. The panel, including Jung Jae-hyung, Cha Tae-hyun, Park Kyung-rim, and Moon Geun-young, were left speechless from the very first phrase, soon tearing up and showing deep emotional immersion.

In particular, Moon Geun-young shared a tearful review that touched the hearts of everyone on set, saying, "Listening to the song, I kept thinking, how does someone at such a young age know such profound loneliness? Why are they going through this? It made me want to give them a warm hug."

With contestants who are younger yet capable of delivering deep emotion and resonance, the official competition of "The Ballad of Us 2" premieres on Monday, October 5 at 10 p.m.
